Not quite capable of staying up longer (and I’ve got someone coming to view the apartment p early in the morning) so I’m going to bed hoping the girl messages me back with a time/place to meet tomorrow (we agreed to hang out but set no details)
Tomorrow is my chance to ask her if we’re friends or something else before the deadline I set myself, so, that’s a thing. Luckily I’m too thoroughly delighted by Ghostbusters to freak out about it yet

We went with another butch/femme couple and there were times we were
DYING LAUGHING that other people didn’t seem to get it? Like when she
makes her little speech and the end we were all elbowing each other like
#trubutchlike Holtzmann’s character is so similar to butches I have known, and to how I write Tracer, that I was literally struck by it. Not just in visuals, but in persona.
OH MAN I CAN ONLY IMAGINE THAT WAS A BLAST. And on the second point, I definitely see it. What really struck me was her sense of humor, like, it’s similar to mine and feels just as much tied into the whole “I’m already outside what I ‘should’ be so I might as well go on and have FUN with it.” (Okay I’m probably projecting but my point is it’s so EASY to see that)

I FELT SO MANY CALLOUTS TO LESBIANS IN HER CHARACTER
I MAY HAVE SOME EMOTIONS ABOUT HOW I FEEL HER CHARACTER IS A RARE ONE THAT REALLY CAPTURES ASPECTS OF LESBIANISM THAT AREN‘T DIRECTLY TIED TO LOVING WOMEN
Like the film does not explicitly say that she likes women/show her being with a woman but she’s such a great example of how like, no a lot of times we’re not just like straight people besides for who we love and it’s SO GREAT
Y’all have probably heard this from everyone else ever but I love Ghostbusters so so much I legitimately cried laughing so hard in the theater and I love all of the ladies but especially Holtzman
I want to be Holtzman and also marry her
I really hope the corporate social media team continues to include random photos of just me in their posts because I find it hilarious and I want to have a collection of them when our summer events are done
