no more Pearl headcanons about her constantly mourning Rose and blaming/hating Steven for her death, no more drawings of Pearl almost stabbing baby Steven/refusing to look at baby Steven for the first year of his life
more Pearl headcanons involving her instantly falling in love with Steven the moment he’s born, constantly hovering over him while he sleeps because she’s watching over him/can’t take her eyes off of him. More Pearl headcanons featuring Pearl geniunely believing that Steven is her baby and/or she is his mother
i dont wanna see no more drawings or headcanons of Pearl “actually hating Steven” or freaking mourning rose’s death on Steven’s freakin birthday. just let her be happy. let her love her baby
pal……… im honored to call you my chum this is a good post
What she says: I’m fine.
What she means: PGSM is so grossly underrated and it makes me sick because it explores so many interesting things and dynamics of the SM Universe. It took the time develope the bond between the Senshi individually and was not afraid to make changes to the storyline like making Princess Serenity a villain. It wasn’t Usagi centric and every Senshi had something to struggle with. The girls were also saving each other instead of Usagi just saving everyone and each Senshi had a different relationship with each other, like Rei being the closest to Minako and those two pretty much being in love w each other, Ami being kinda in love with Usagi and having a conflict with Naru, Motoki and Mako being cute, Mako and Rei not hitting off that well, etc. It also explored their family dynamics like Rei and her father and Ami and her mother. It’s also the only version that cared about the Shitennou and showed them as Endymions guardians and friends and developed them as characters and made them interesting and didn’t put them in some kind of bullshit shitty romance. There is so much genuine love in PGSM and a large part of the fandom dismisses it just because of plush cats and bad CGI effects.
Can we talk about Amethyst in this episode though? She usually clashes so often with Pearl, but in this case she literally defended her when Pearl admitted that she lied. And remember that part… where Amethyst looks down a bit sadly and says “No, I don’t think that’s it” when Steven asks if Pearl wanted to learn about the communication hub. And I think it’s because Amethyst relates to her. She really gets Pearl, because she feels the same way herself.
She basically says, “We both feel stronger with you” and I think it’s because fusing with Garnet makes them both feel like they’re loved, and Pearl wanted to keep doing that. Amethyst feels the same way. Both of them struggle with serious issues of inferiority and feeling unwanted, and fusing with Garnet seems to alleviate that, if even a little.
Shuu is a former Takarazuka actress who retired from the Revue last year. She will be a fabulous Haruka, take my word for it. links: (Official Fan Club Twitter)
