There’s a black cat that comes and lays in my yard and for the longest time it would always run away every time I went out of the house. Like I’d open the door and not even look longer than a glance and the cat would bolt. But a couple weeks ago I came out didn’t even know it was there and sat in my favorite lawn chair. Two minutes later there’s this brush of fur against my leg. I look down and the black cat is rubbing against my leg in a full body lean. Not gonna lie, I cried a little in joy

Why they are the best
SHE’S MY PERFECT SMOL HOTHEAD. I love the particular way she has self worth issues, how she’s similar to Pearl but still so different, I love that she was willing to die for Sapphire but ultimately her rebellion is LIVING with her.

Why they are the worst
IT’S A ROUGH TIME WHEN YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER IS MOSTLY HALF OF ANOTHER CHARACTER

THIS IS HARD BECAUSE SU IS SUCH A TIGHTLY WRITTEN SHOW, there’s really not anything that feels out of place or uncomfortable with Ruby

I reeeeaaally want her to have had feelings for Sapphire for a while before The Answer takes place.
