So I ran the Harry Potter event today and there were a lot more people than I was expecting, but especially a lot more *kids* than I was expecting.
And now I’m having some kind of emotion because holy shit I *was* these kids and now I’m grown up and am running this.
One more thing on this, one of the little girls was super worried about getting her copy of Cursed Child because when it comes out she’ll be in Michigan. So I asked where, and she said in Saginaw so I told her there’s a Barnes and Noble there and it’s a half hour from where I grew up. Her mom jumped in to ask where I’m from. I expected her to not know because it’s a tiny tiny town but she’d been to the lake there! Which is strange to hear out here in NYC since the lake is literally around the corner from my childhood house and it’s just SUCH A SMALL WORLD.
