I REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ENCROACHING DARKNESS SO HERE’S A NICE THING THAT HAPPENED

Last night I was helping straighten up some of the gift tables before close, and a girl asked if I could tell her if we had an item in stock. Normally I tell people to go to customer service, especially when I’m not at my counter (seriously how do you expect me to know when I’m in the middle of the store?? also there is a huge sign above customer service it’s easier to spot than I am). BUT!!! I happened to look at her phone before I said anything and she was looking for the Jupiter Figuarts. (Which, I did know off the top of my head we didn’t have, because I am dork supreme.)

So I looked in the system for other stores and told her where I got mine and we chatted a bit. Mercury is her favorite, and she’s trying to collect all the figures. It was a lovely random encounter.

So as is expected when you leave bags in a house containing a small child for several months, some things I did not pack ended up coming to my apartment. Mostly some stuffed animals, but also

  • my seventeen year old movie ticket to Titanic

which blows my mind, because a) I somehow did not pack my titanic dvds and am kicking myself because I’ve been wanting to watch it, b) in 1998 movies were apparently 3.75, WHAT and c) this ticket lasted seventeen years. Seventeen!! Titanic is the first movie I can actually remember seeing in theaters, and I somehow still have the ticket despite it not being preserved or scrap-booked.
