This is really interesting to me. Why does this phrase give her a flashback? My mind goes two places.

The first is just that SilMil Jupiter believed in love absolutely, and so was the most encouraging to Serenity about Endymion, which brought about the destruction of the moon kingdom.

The second is somewhere I never expected my mind to go. I don’t usually ship SenshixShitennou (though depending on the version, there’s usually one pairing of the four that I go for), but Crystal is doing interesting things. So I’m kind of thinking this is something Nephrite said in their past life.

Nephrite recognizes Jupiter when she’s attacking him. He specifically remarks that he remembers that look. It makes sense that she attacked him in the previous life.

I think she killed him. And I think he let her.

Believe in love and ruin yourself? Bring it on.

They’re at war. It’s kill or be killed. Nephrite chooses not to kill her. He chooses love at his own expense, because Jupiter would never choose the love of a man over the love of her princess.

I’m actually really interested to see how Crystal handles the Senshi and Shitennou. Part of me doesn’t want them to have all of them linked romantically, but part of me wants to see how interesting they make it. Did all of the senshi kill their respective shitennou in the Silver Milenium? How did their feelings differ? (I don’t know that I’ll ever get behind Mars/Jaedite (I’m too attached to Mars being ace), but the rest… I’m excited).
