ONE WEEK!
After these years of waiting, we’re down to just a week. Can you believe it?
Right now I’m really looking forward to seeing the opening credits. There’s so many ways they could go with it, it’s impossible to guess what they’ll look like. Will it have the strange imagery present in some of the original anime’s openings, or will it be more cute and straightforward like Stars of PGSM? I hope we get shots of all our girls in motion, but I also sort of think they’ll keep up the anticipation for their episodes and mostly focus on Usagi.
What do you hope to see in the opening? Or, what are you most excited to see in Crystal overall?

Brain. Brain. We need to talk.
We’ve got a week until Crystal. We’ve been waiting years for this. When I’’m conscious you’re very excited. I know.
SO WHY DID YOU HAVE ME DREAM ABOUT FREE! ETERNAL SUMMER?
Yes it premiers two days before Crystal. Yes, I do like Free! very much. Yes I’m sure it’s confusing since half the boys share names with Sailor Moon girls.
But for heavens sake if you’re gonna give me a dream about someone getting flustered because a tall, sweet Makoto kissed them on the cheek, get your prioritiees strait.

Eight days is a weird number to start a countdown on, but I’ve reached the point of being too excited about Crystal not to have some outlet. I’m not sure if I’ll try and draw something for all the remaining days, but I’ll do something to countdown.

Today I want to talk about how excited I am for Crystal!Naru. I’ve always really liked Naru (even when I knew her as Molly), but PGSM brought her to a whole nother level. I hope Crystal keeps a few of her PGSM aspects, particularly her awareness. She always knew when something was wrong, whether it was that her mother was replaced by a youma or just that Mio was spreading lies about Usagi. It gave her a sense of capability even though she didn’t have powers, and I think it would be so cool if some of that carried over.
However, even if she follows her manga or original anime characterization 100%, I’m really looking forward to seeing her next Saturday (especially since we haven’t even seen her design yet). I’m really really happy they’re keeping the jewelry store first episode. I think it’s amazing that all (non-musical) versions start at the same place, but end up being so different. Usagi’s relationship with Naru is such a great starting point, too. I can’t wait to see where Crystal goes with it.
