Okay this dork. THIS DORK. I love her, and I feel like this is pretty well in character, but it’s not selling the rockstar bit for me.
I feel like for fame to work for Haruka (and I do prefer not-famous Haruka), it has to be an incidental product of something she loves? A famous racer, while not really likely, works for me because it’s just Haruka doing something Haruka loves, rather than Haruka seeking out fame. I mean, in theory a musician would play out of love for music, but she’d have to actively work to get discovered, where as with racing it feels like it could be more than she works at getting good and moves up the ranks quickly on merit (note that I don’t actually know anything about racing).
Basically, I don’t buy suave sexy rockstar being surprised a fan recognized her, even though I’m 100% sure Haruka would be flabbergasted at any fan girls she had.
