I thought he was dead but this actress is such a joy to watch I’m on board with this.
This musical has endless surprises I love it so much.
Saphir was such a troll in this one xD

Saphir being the big enemy was one of my favorite things this musical did. I love that it took the expectation of him being the innocent younger brother who loves and cares for Demand and went entirely the other way. Saphir’s the one who’s twisted and full of malice, and it’s implied that it’s all him, not Wiseman’s influence. I love the hint that his motivation is that the Moon Kingdom essentially took over, because that’s such a cool thread to carry through. If the history of Serenity and the Senshi became common knowledge, why wouldn’t there be dissenters like Saphir?
And then he’s so controlling and unpredictable. Everything he did was something I didn’t see coming. It’s the most wonderful thing.
