I’m laughing, not because I saw her today
(of course, now that I don’t need to run into her by chance it’ll happen (tho
I’m happy,I prefer taking in person SO MUCH)), but because oh my god
after some normal conversation she got a little serious and said she had a
question. And the question was if I did hugs. Because turns out, we have the
exact same worries about touching people and while we’re both used to hugging
people goodbye, both of us worried too much to ask if it was okay yesterday. We
bonded over it but just. Oh my god it’s a marvel we got to this point. (I am…
90% sure now we both spent significant time doing the “I’m going to casually be
near her and wait to see if she talks to me” thing. (Perhaps I should admit we
actually technically met like… seven months ago.)) But at least we seem to be
taking turns on who asks these things.
Also bless her she brought up hanging out
again but can’t do this week because a bunch of school stuff, so she says we
should do a celebratory get together when she’s done. BUT MY TAKEAWAY IS SHE
WOULD WANT TO HANG OUT AGAIN WITHIN A WEEK IF SHE COULD AND GOSH I LOVE PEOPLE
WHO LIKE HANGING OUT A LOT. I worry a lot about asking people to hang out too
much and so I rarely see friends as much as I’d like, much less anyone I have
romantic interest in.
