I would but technically she never said *yes* to hanging out, she just said she was free tuesday.
I’m so mad. I am SUPER PICKY about books. My friends all hate trying to guess if I’ll like something, because while I can casually enjoy most things they might want to share, I don’t LOVE most things. (My best friend gets frustrated, since I have his taste nailed down and can rec books to him with high precision, but he can’t do the same for me)
But the girl just casually recommended a book to me, in a “I’m telling everyone to read this” sort of way, and I picked it up not expecting to like it much. But then I read it in one sitting last night and it’s a direct hit on my taste and I’m. so mad.

Today’s baby step of bravery was MESSAGING HER WITHOUT EVEN CONSULTING A FRIEND FIRST. Granted she spoon fed me the opportunity by telling me in person she wanted to hang out and the next logical step was letting her know when I’m free, but still.

Shout out to the rain for stopping at the perfect moment for me to message the girl and literally run away
At work today I saw a customer who looked ridiculously like my girl, same hair same manner of dress just a different face, and my heart about ate itself
I’m getting worried at this point that she’s not actually gonna message me about hanging out when her school stuff is done because my brain likes to do that when things aren’t immediate (also, I’ve worried that from the start, because I’m so unsure that I’ve conveyed sincerity in wanting to hang out with her), but I realize it’s very possible for her to message me later in the week, possibly after everything is in. I’d worry about how long to let it go before I message her but I should see her Saturday when I work, HOPEFULLY. (I hate having to weigh my fear of being pushy against the fear of letting this slip by)
me: haha the girl has posted a pic of a flower, what if I commented “beautiful!” then she’d think I meant the flower but really I’d mean her.
