I did this mostly to do the dress but then I got to her appearance and I was like ‘well, she’s a freaking alien so whhhhy give her a human complexion?’’ so I gave her a purplish/white skin tone in order to make her seem like she was made of marble. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to make her hair silver or gold so I was like BETTER MIX IT.

READER THIS IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL GIFSET. And I’m so with you on Usagi’s growth, I love how the difference can be seen just by looking at caps from the first season and from the Stars; I know it’s due to different animators, mostly, and during 90s, character design slowly changed towards angular shapes from ‘childish’ look, but I love how it reflected Usagi’s and girls’ appearances, how they’re visibly more mature
