Usually I just see the purple background color of your icon idk why. But if someone says your name or url I go “omg that really bright purple”. Nice shade of purple btw
I do this sort of thing too! Sometimes I even associate people I know only irl with colors. I’M FLATTERED TO BE A NICE SHADE OF PURPLE FOR YOU.

Here’s a cut because I’m going to get into some of my specific frustrations
There’s a lot that makes me angry, but what is getting to me most right now are all the straight cis people pretending to be so ~supportive of LGBT~ when I KNOW they are shitty about a lot of things. Like my sister posted a “discrimination is not a part of my religion” thing and it’s so hard to not be like SIS YOU DON’T THINK TRANS PEOPLE DESERVE RESPECT AND RIGHTS SIT DOWN (shit came out at the end of my gender questioning. and I kind of don’t doubt shit would come out if I decided that whoops I don’t like girls after all) (NOT TO MENTION THE ANTI-ISLAM SLANT OF EVERYTHING IS DISGUSTING.) I thought about unfollowing people on/getting off facebook for a while, but then I’d miss updates on things I want, like my niece’s ballgames and shit.
And so it’s so so tempting to either confront people I’m close to individually or else make a post like hey, straight cis friends and family it’s great you’re sad about these murders, but it’s not enough. If you’re declaring yourself an ally, I’d better see you working to accept, respect, and protect the entire spectrum of LGBTQIAAP+ identities.

(Also the fight I had with my mom about it all was RIDICULOUS, just imagine every stereotype awful thing she could say and you probably have the right idea, it started with her asking “why do they come here to kill us” and ended with her telling me I judge and hate her for being a straight white woman (really. REALLY.)) (She commented on the one post I’ve made about this saying she loves my “compassion and honesty” and I’m like. wow you sure don’t like my compassion and honesty when I tell you to stop being racist or correct you on people’s pronouns)

OH SNUMPS I *AM* A NATIVE SPEAKER AND I MAKE MISTAKES LIKE THAT ALL THE TIME. (Like, for an easy example, until the Harry Potter movies came out I thought Flitwick and Flich were the same character because they start with Fl and sometimes I can’t distinguish between words that are similar)

THEN YOU WILL LOVE ME IF WE EVER MEET. It happens less now, but sometimes my voice goes ridiculously high around people I don’t know well. I have been told it sounds like a five year old. (It really doesn’t help with people’s tendency to mistake me for a child. ONE OF OUR DOOR GUARDS ALMOST STOPPED ME FROM CHANGING OUT OUR EVENTS SIGNS YESTERDAY BECAUSE HE THOUGHT I LOOKED TOO YOUNG TO BE AN EMPLOYEE (the front door guards change a lot, all our usual guards know me))

You run as fast a mile as me! I have been running for a long time. (I am a very slow runner) You could probs be a REALLY fast runner.
Ahahaha I doubt I’ll ever be REALLY FAST but thank you! I look up to you SO MUCH when you mention how far you run! My goal is to have that kind of endurance.
And it feels kind of… mean? to say thank you for telling me I’m as fast as you, but I do want to thank you because I was always the kid in gym class who failed the fitness test because I ran the mile in like 12 minutes (and also… failed all the other parts of the test) so I kind of always conceive of myself as still being that much slower than everyone else. SO THANK YOU.
