I also think the Moon Pride music video conveys the Senshi’s individual characters, so that gives me hope too!

MOON PRIDE IS THE SHINING LIGHT OF MY LIFE. Even if Crystal doesn’t do anything I like, it will be worth it for the fact that we got Moon Pride.

But I absolutely agree. Moon Pride shows that the creators get everything. Even just the opening version shows they have an understanding of this story and these characters. If we can just get a little more of that funneled into the show, and why wouldn’t we if it’s there, Crystal will shine.

Taking time away from the girls was disappointing, but I hope they won’t drop the ball entirely on their characters after their introductory episodes. They have had moments here and there, the lack of Rei’s grumpiness bothers me too.

Yeah, I really want to remain hopeful because Crystal is doing some awesome things (those attacks! the silmil flashes!), so I’m going to try and take the line that this was just a bad episode for me. I am actually pretty optimistic that once Minako comes in, it’ll shape up (the promo shot of everyone together in the cafe was so perfectly in character, so maybe Crystal has a hold on the group dynamic, but not the group-building dynamic, if that makes sense).

I thought he was dead but this actress is such a joy to watch I’m on board with this.

This musical has endless surprises I love it so much.

Saphir was such a troll in this one xD
“So you think you can join these silver crystals together? SURPRISE FUCKERS, I got them now, I’ll do it!”

#i was also surprised that saphir turned out to be the manic enemy instead of demande #nice plot twist there

Saphir being the big enemy was one of my favorite things this musical did. I love that it took the expectation of him being the innocent younger brother who loves and cares for Demand and went entirely the other way. Saphir’s the one who’s twisted and full of malice, and it’s implied that it’s all him, not Wiseman’s influence. I love the hint that his motivation is that the Moon Kingdom essentially took over, because that’s such a cool thread to carry through. If the history of Serenity and the Senshi became common knowledge, why wouldn’t there be dissenters like Saphir?

And then he’s so controlling and unpredictable. Everything he did was something I didn’t see coming. It’s the most wonderful thing.

That’s high praise! I’m extra excited now~

It’s really amazing, and part of that is that it’s shiny and new, but wow is it good.
Also if you can avoid being spoiled about some of the things that happen, it’ll be even better. I’m really glad I black listed Petite Etrangere before watching, because one part in particular took me my surprise and it was the best thing.

heytherehydrangea replied to your post: MAKO. OH MY GOD.She clearly has a rela…

my interpretation was that she started picking up on it during the dance and was trying to protect chibi by dancing with her and distract them by dancing solo then. because she’s a fucking boss. prepare your body for incoming kickass fight scene!!

Oh, yeah, I definitely think that too, especially since she sort of shuffles Chibiusa away partway through. I love it so much because we rarely get to see Makoto be the one to come up with a strategy like that, but it makes perfect sense here.
This musical is a gift and I’m never getting over it.
