My wife and I look at houses a lot because it’s a fun way to look towards the future, but of COURSE today we saw the perfect house and we’re dying because we aren’t ready but it has TONS OF BUILT IN SHELVING and A LITTLE OFFICE WITH A BUILT IN DESK and A PANTRY WITH A GLASS DOOR THAT SAYS “PANTRY” IN ETCHING and is the right size and price and just generally exactly the sort of place we want to end up in
I spent SO MUCH of today cooking but my wife says it’s the best birthday they’ve ever had so it was WORTH IT
My wife’s birthday is Saturday and I cannot express how tempted I am to call out of work tomorrow

My job is very boring, and recently they started me on a different, even more boring task. Both tasks require juuuust enough detail focus that I can’t zone out or even fully focus on stuff I listen to. Also I’m on the Saturday rotation this week, and overtime pay isn’t worth a one-day weekend.
My only solace is I’m somehow I’ve also been given the responsibility of helping the two new hires, they are my lil ducklings and I must protect them
