Working on my final assignments for creative writing, and I’m way too close to crying because of how much I hate this class.

One of the assignments is a process note about the class and our writing and it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write because the professor is such a horrible person (both in terms of the beliefs she holds and her behavior towards students) that it’s hard to bullshit positivity for a good grade.

I have my five minute thesis presentation in a few hours. I’m really glad it’s so short because during rehearsals I started getting nervous that me talking about gender could make people wonder about MY gender, and nope English Profs aren’t a crowd I’m interested in being out to.

Hey everyone, as a heads up I’m on spring break so my activity might be sporadic for the next week. I’m heading to Florida with my bff to work on my thesis and cry while getting sunburnt have lots of fun. Most likely I’ll be on at least a little still, but no promises.

me: okay i have two stories due tuesday. time to get to work.
me: i’ll just put on some music for inspiration
itunes: *shuffles to the Fruits Basket opening*
me: *ends up crying and doing no work*

  • My roommates didn’t close the blinds after I opened them yesterday so there’s actual sunlight in here while I drink my coffee. I love sunlight in the morning.
  • I have a crush on a girl, and I have no feelings of guilt over it!
  • I have a midterm in a little over an hour and then I have to make a few final changes on my thesis draft, but once I get that turned in my stressful obligations will be done for a while
  • My best friend held off watching the HTGAWM finale so we can watch it at the same time tonight and freak out together.
  • I will also finally have time to play more of Majora’s Mask this weekend. Also writing. And catching up on Jane the Virgin.

me, conceptualizing my thesis a year ago: yayyy women cross dressing, let’s talk about feminism
me, now almost finished with my thesis, writing my introduction: it’s likely half of these characters may not identify as women, I’m going to talk about that
