It’s my partner’s last night dorming and they asked me to read to them over the phone to put them to sleep. They jokingly requested Game of Thrones but we actually got through a whole chapter so now I hope we make it a thing because it’s so cute to have them listen like that.
There’s a lot I do love about my job, but there’s also so much that exhausts me and frustrates me, to the point where sticking with it feels like spinning my wheels, but I don’t know what would be better for me outside of my vague desire for something with consistent hours (I do kind of dream of a 9-5). I’m starting to look at jobs a lot more again and I keep hoping something pops up that strikes me as something that I’d like at least as much as I like my current job, but with better pay.

Tomorrow is my partner’s birthday and also marks one month before the wedding, and I can’t help but see myself in one of those no fear/one fear meme comics, with the one fear being “in five or so years they will regret getting married fast and young and resent me”
which i’ve talked to them about and i know it’s imposter syndrome and an exaggeration of our age difference (two years) but I’m still like. struggling with it especially as I try and write my vows and get stuff ready for their birthday, because these are all shiny new and charming things and someday I’m not gonna be shiny new or charming

THAT IS A GOOD QUESTION. I read online after that there’s a link between hats and gang violence, but also I can’t help but feel they’re just trying to make a few extra buck off every third butch that comes in lol (it’s all hats too, you can’t even put your beanie in your pocket or anything)

TALE AS OLD AS TIME, GAYS GO TO A BAR. It’s been fun to hear how many people meet like this, and also have people be like “wow you met the old fashion way” because initially we were so unsure how to present the fact that we met at a bar lol
On a brighter note my fiancée watched Titanic for the first time with me last night and seeing them get more and more invested was PRECIOUS.
Man, sometimes I wish I had the rule a lot of people have and didn’t let anyone from irl follow me, because there are some things I want to vent about without being passive aggressive
