it’s rich people!

LMAO THIS IS TRUE.

My mother-in-law’s boyfriend is selling his mom’s car but he said it was “too old for us” at 17 years old  (which, granted, we are looking for something a little newer) and I told him my car back home is 24 years old and he just had no response.

Meanwhile all my friends are like I KNOW SOMEONE SELLING A CAR and it’s mostly junkers, or else they’re telling me to go on craigslist and just make sure it has carfax.

People’s attitudes about cars and safety are so funny to me, my in-laws are all up in arms about us needing a good car for the snow and demanding we get four wheel drive and like, meanwhile as a teen I was allowed to get the first shitty car offered to me, one windshield wiper didn’t really work and my parents had no problem letting me drive a few hours through late night snow storms when I had a reason, they had the philosophy that being a good, safe driver made up for most car stuff

After seeing a final place that was honestly a nightmare, we put in our application for the place we liked and then ran to the bus station and got our tickets bumped up so we’re getting in at 10:30 instead of 3 in the morning

Okay so a) this is beautiful sushi for two b) it cost under $40, which is still a lot but sushi for two at a decent NYC place runs $60-70 and gives way less (both less sushi and doesn’t come with soup and salad)
And anyway this is close to where I’m going to work and not far from the apartment we like, I think we just found our date night go-to.
