I keep seeing that post about wearing glasses and seeing leaves for the first time, and feeling a little put out because I never had that experience. My vision issues were caught too early for that (I started wearing glasses for astigmatism at age six, and then going for yearly prescription updates meant my nearsightedness was accounted for right when it developed.)
I’ve kind of had the opposite experience, though. One time I took off my glasses to clean them while walking through Union Square and no one had faces.
Thank god I was not born before glasses, the world would be fucking terrifying.
