I saw a scan of Michiru and Haruka wearing these outfits and they were so cute i had to draw but I dunno where that post with it went hmmm…
Here’s my drawing done for Moon Crisis: A Sailor Moon Tribute Show, which opens July 5th at Rothick Art Haus in Anaheim! I did a Michiru & Haruka spoof of the famous “KISS” photograph by Tanya Chalkin. 🙂

Who cries at the wedding
Adding an obnoxious comment because I‘m nearly crying over the image of Haruka just breaking down at her wedding. Like, it’s probably a small ceremony (at Michiru’s insistence, Haruka wanted to go BIG but Michiru didn’t want to invite her biological family, and she didn’t want any of her fans to crash, so it’s just them and the girls, Mamoru, and maybe a couple other friends). Michiru is glowing, if a little misty-eyed, the perfect picture of a bride.
And Haruka’s not one to cry usually but she starts and can’t stop; Michiru’s so beautiful and it’s only now hitting her that everything they lived through, everything they came back to life after, is so impossible, and they’re so impossible but here they are, alive and in love, getting married.
Little flower girl Hotaru tries to help Haruka Papa stop and offers her her handkerchief, but Haruka loves her so much too that she just cries harder.
Haruka had a big, ridiculous dorky speech planned for her vows, but she can’t get it out and ends up going with a simple “I love you. You know I’d die for you, but I’m so happy I get to live with you.”
That’s the point Michiru starts crying too. Nothing like Haruka, just a few sparkling tears before she kisses Haruka way ahead of their cue.
“It’s all right. I like your hands.”
