My Dad did the same thing with me once, which is weird because I’m not a lesbian. We’ve got to work together to get the older generation to comprehend the gender spectrum one step at a time!
That is weird, wow.
My mom have talked a lot about it in the abstract, like I’ve discussed non-binary identities with her and she seems to understand a bit, I think it’s just when it comes to specifically me she gets pretty confused (which, to be fair, I did lead her and everyone else to believe I was a straight girl for most of my life).
But they’ll all come around sooner or later 🙂

this is not the first time she’s asked, I’d understand asking once but she’s done it before. and like, SHE IS READING A TRUE STORY OF A BUTCH LESBIAN. IT’S RIGHT THERE. THERE IS A REASON IT REMINDS HER OF ME. I don’t want to really discuss my gender identity with her because I know she’ll take “not 100% girl” as boy, and the one thing I know for sure about my gender is I am not a boy.

Mostly I’m posting this because I don’t think I’m seeing anyone important today and selfies means I didn’t *entirely* use all that make up for no reason.
I kept making weird faces since I couldn’t see (my eyesight is preeeeety bad), but this is my generic picture face. I make it in like 80% of all pics.
SEE? Also people tell me there is no significant difference in my appearance with glasses vs. without, but I can’t agree.

ok people are theorizing Rainbow Quartz has two sets of eyes because Rose and Pearl come from very different places of mind.
but consider this: Pearl and Amethyst, from what we’ve learn so far, have quite a similar view of themselves (low self esteem; measure themselves by how people they value see them; constant need for reassurance from outside factors). however, each has a different way of handling (and hiding) the same issues (Pearl’s perfectionism and high strung attitude; Amethyst’s laid back ‘i don’t care what you think’ facade).
