Have you read the books at all? I LOVE the books and gave up the show after the first season.
I did part of my thesis on the books! But I only read them this summer, so this is my first season after reading (well, I read the first one a long time ago, and put off watching the show because I saw the ending of the first season and got REALLY pissed Dany wasn’t breastfeeding the dragons (I took it as a sign of how they treated cool things women did and… wasn’t wrong) but then I got sucked into watching because I got tired of being the only one out of the loop).
I’m probably going to give up on it pretty quickly. I like watching it with my friends, but we’ve all read the books now so it’s stopped being any sort of happy experience.

I have my five minute thesis presentation in a few hours. I’m really glad it’s so short because during rehearsals I started getting nervous that me talking about gender could make people wonder about MY gender, and nope English Profs aren’t a crowd I’m interested in being out to.
