the way MIki Honoka’s face and voice are in this scene, just wow. This actress has always been good but I feel like through ItaKiss she just grew so MUCH in her ability. She’s surpassed most of her costars to just steal every scene she’s in, I was tearing up at the end when she was reciting her nurse’s pledge to Naoki. It’s a very fine line she has to walk, because Kotoko as a character demands huge, over-the-top acting, and that can get campy and fake very easily. But she pulls it off – it’s over the top, it’s over-emotional, but it’s real and deep and emotional. Like, kudos, Ms. Honoka you are utterly amazing.
