She absolutely pushes people’s buttons for fun (not just Haruka, she does it with Usagi, she tried with Michiru, and I’d bet she’d do it with everyone, we just never got it on screen), BUT SHE MEANS IT GOOD NATUREDLY. And she’s a smol little butch, charming as HELL even though she flounders sometimes. ALSO LET ME SCREAM HER LYRICS IN “I MISS YOU” BECAUSE SHE HAS SUCH AN EXPERIENCE OF UNREQUITED LOVE AND IT HURTS ME.

a canon fact (that shouldn’t be) Canon likes to waver on her knowing where boundaries are. SHE KNOWS AND ADHERES TO THAT PLEASE.
a non-canon fact (that should be) She and Minako acknowledge some of what they have in common at LEAST once. I think Seiya is more genuine in her jovial moods than Mina (I mean, Mina is genuine, but there’s always that little bit of everything else running underneath, she can never not be Venus even when she wants so badly to just be Mina), but they’re similar, they’re the leaders, they’ve both failed their princess at least once, they both have memories of fallen kingdoms. They might do it half jokingly, but they definitely do it. (And likely, it makes them hate each other a little, since they hate these things in themselves. Mina is happy to cheer Haruka on in their next fight)
