I have this canon in which their life was pretty much shit inside that house. They loved Harry to death (literally), but they also hated being inside that house 24/7. James used to be moody when Harry wasn’t around (or when Harry was around too) because he couldn’t see his friends and he couldn’t fight in the war in the way he always dreamt, and that frustrated him. And Lily was irritable, especially when she and James were alone. That last night was like any other night, they ate dinner in silence and even knowing James wasn’t up to it, Lily insisted on having a little “party” in the living room, with sweets and chocolates, but everything was sad and rather quite except for Harry’s giggles while riding his little broom all over the place.

They were selfish and immature and 21 years old, and the first thought when Voldemort made his appearence was of regret. Because they didn’t enjoy the last part of their life and Harry as much as they should have, they didn’t tell each other “I love you” as much as they wanted to, and that was it, no second chances, no more oportunities to fix it, that was the end and both of them couldn’t stop thinking about how they didn’t tell each other “I love you” that day.

Finnick Odair Capitol Portrait (x)

Commmmme onnnnnn, Hunger Games. Look. I have tried to be patient. I know I got some Claflin girls up on my dash, y’all must have your reasons. But are you kidding me with this right now, Hunger Games. Are you? Because I know you are not suggesting with a straight face that everybody in the known world of Panem is like, “yes, I will pay a hundred thousand apocadollars for a piratical slide down this gefilte fish dick.” I KNOW YOU ARE NOT TRYING TO BRING THAT WEAK SHIT TO ME, WHEN WE COULDA HAD

ALL OF THIS.

Nope. No. Look, I can be all about the post-nuclear-apocalypse world where children fight to death by order of the dictatorial central government but it is TAKING SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF A LITTLE TOO FAR to argue that whatever is goin on up there was preferable casting to THIS.

HONESTLY

WHAT EVEN IS A “CLAFLIN”

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING

I’M VERY UPSET

UGH, GO TO YOUR ROOM, HUNGER GAMES. GO TO YOUR ROOM AND THINK ABOUT HOW YOU GOOFED.

THINK LONG AND HARD, YA DUMB GODDAMNED ANIMALS.

PETUNIA: You didn’t just lose a mother that night in Godric’s Hollow, you know. I lost a sister. [x]

#Fuck everything I refuse to believe that Petunia Dursley was a bad person. She was bitter, yes, but she loves her sister okay? She LOVED Lily and it must have seemed like a betrayal to her that her sister left her for this school, this fantastic school that she wanted to go to so badly. And so she grew bitter. As she carried on with her mundane life, Lily’s life was magical. She was intelligent. She was so very talented. She fell in love and got married and everything was lovely but Petunia could never have her Lily back and she could never quite forgive the magic world for doing that. And the day she found Harry on her doorstep can you imagine how fucking painful that must have been I mean she’s been going on for years trying to ignore her sister and then all of a sudden she finds out that she’s DEAD. She’s dead and she’s been killed by the epitome is evil and all she has left is this little baby boy whose eyes are exactly the same startling shade of her sister’s and she both clings to him and also hates him for the reminder of her destroyed relationship with her sister every day and you know what haters to the left Petunia I am so fucking sorry for everything you’ve been through.
