Haruka is Rei’s assistant and secretary–she’s not much of a typist, but Rei generally prefers to scream in person anyway, and she’s great at remembering personal details and Rei find having a butch secretary in line with her goals of upholding the personal freedoms and expression of women everywhere
Every year for secretary’s day, she gets Haruka a book on feminism
Haruka’d rather go to lunch
Mina is the publicist for the hotel group, and she is as annoying as she is skilled at her job, frequently pointing out to Rei that Rei is in no way her superior, and so there’s no ethical qualms.
Rei points out that if she was Mina’s superior, she’d have fired Mina long ago.
Mina got Haruka the job a few years ago after Haruka got her life back together by convincing her that hiring a butch lesbian recovering addict was literally the least she could do for social justice.
Haruka moved in with Mina to get clean and just never left, even though Mina keeps claiming she can’t wait for Haruka to get a life.
They just bought a townhome together.
Michiru generally never bothers with the day to day operation of her family’s many holdings, but she had a meeting with Rei and her siblings one day to discuss which of the hotels are to have their presidential suites remodeled.
She is very taken by Rei’s choice of secretary, and suddenly decides she is ever so interested in the hotel business.
Her father is pleased at Michiru taking a personal interest in something, and happily gives her an office as a consultant to Rei, just across the hall.
Usagi works in the cafeteria with Mako and they greet everyone by name every day, and save a slice of special dessert for the birthdays of their regulars. Usagi cried when Rei tried to start a health and wellbeing plan.
