Early morning HaruMichi feelings:
In S, when they’re still sleeping in separate rooms and going to school, mornings are these small vulnerable times. They sit together at the table, Michiru sipping coffee and Haruka trying to eat her sugary cereal quietly. Sometimes they talk, sometimes they don’t. There’s always a simple, warm feeling that they can’t protect themselves from until they’ve woken up more, though, and it doesn’t take long for them each to realize this is something they wouldn’t mind having every day for the rest of their lives.
The idea of HaruMichi Roman Holiday keeps sticking in my head.
Not to actually write just to tell people to think about as they watch so they can feel this pain too.

Imagine Haruka trying to hold Michiru’s hand the first time they go to a movie together.
First she accidentally uses the hand closest to Michiru to eat her popcorn, so it is a butter and sugar mess that she can’t seem to get entirely clean with her napkins. Then she realizes that Michiru’s hand isn’t waiting for her on the arm rest, because the arm rest isn’t even down. Did Michiru put it up to ward off hand holding attempts? Was it up when they got there because the universe is plotting against Haruka? Michiru’s hands are folded elegantly over her knee, Haruka can’t grab them there and touch her knee, they’ve just started dating. She is too absorbed to pay attention to the movie at all until Michiru just leans over and puts her head on her shoulder.
PLEASE IMAGINE HARUKA THE FIRST TIME HER BABIES MEET CINDERELLA OR BELLE, ETC.
OH MY GOD.
There are two ways I’m seeing this going (assuming Haruka and Michiru have daughters, which tends to be all I ever imagine). One, Haruka’s little girl being ALL DECKED OUT as her favorite princess, because if Haruka’s daughter loves a princess there is no way Haruka is not buying her the expensive costume so she can be that princess while she’s at Disney. So Haruka takes a million photographs of her little girl(s) with the princesses, feels so proud when the favorite princess tells her little girl how beautiful is, and thanks all the princesses with a tear in her eye.
Two, and god help us all, Haruka has a little girl who takes after/imitates her Papa, and dresses up as her favorite princess’s prince. The princess kneels down and tells her how handsome she is. Haruka is sobbing. Michiru has to take all the pictures.

What fandom do they write fanfic for? Give us a small sample.
Ooo this is a tough one. I’m honestly tempted to say Star Wars, it has the sort of fun action stuff that Haruka would be unembarrassed to be into, paired with characters and stuff that I think would draw her towards writing. Recent discussion of lesbian!Han aside, I think she would project SO MUCH onto Han. He’s cool and suave like she wants to be, but he’s also emotionally vulnerable sometimes. And he ends up with the capable, badass princess! He absolutely would be Haruka’s self insert. Especially if she writes fairly young, which is mostly when I think she’d do fanfic.
I think, too, she’d be more drawn to writing moments from the series from Han’s perspective rather than continuing or writing original stories.
“Still, she’s got a lot of spirit, I don’t know, what do you think? You think a princess and a guy like me…”
“No,” Luke said quickly. I try to tell myself it’s because he likes her too, but he’s right, isn’t he? What would a princess want with a mercenary like me? I’ve got nothing to offer. Luke’s an alright kid, idealistic, brave, she probably likes that. I should forget about her.
But I helped save her too…
No Han, think about the money. That’s all you really need. Love is just a burden. I’ve got Chewie and the ship, and with the reward we’ll be able to keep going for a while. Who needs a princess? Who needs to get involved in a messy revolution?
…I hope she gets through it safe.

What is their favorite ride at Disneyland? Favorite food?
Okay, I have to preface all of this by saying that it’s been over ten years since I’ve been to a Disney park, and my memory is a little ehhh. BUT I was at Universal last year (I’d gotten a day pass as a gift) so I’m just gonna figure all amusement parks are similar, although that’s completely not true.
So, for rides, I think Haruka has two sorts of favorites. She’s ABSOLUTELY into roller coasters, they’re fast and fun and the wind is in her hair and that all makes Haruka ECSTATIC. I’m going to say Space Mountain, because I know that exists.
But I think she also loves the kiddie rides for a whole host of reasons. I don’t think she’d have gotten to go to Disney as a child, so there’s that. Then I think, too, if she ever went with just Michiru she’d love that they’re relaxed. Sitting together in a spinning tea cup feels a lot more connected than dragging Michiru onto roller coaster after roller coaster. Haruka would, of course, try to have THE FASTEST spinning tea cup, and Michiru would laugh, and that’s all Haruka really needs from their vacation.
And once they have kids, Haruka’s favorite becomes whatever makes her babies smile the most. Especially any ride that does that and then sells overpriced pictures of them on the ride. Haruka buys every one, no matter what sort of faces she and Michiru are making. She has a whole book of these photos at home, and it’s absolutely one of her most treasured possessions.
I’ve also just remembered the car one, where you get to drive on a track, and I have no idea what it’s called but that is ALSO her favorite, especially once the kids are old enough to do it on their own. She gets really emotional about her kids racing.
And food, I have to base this entirely on what I can see on the website, but I think Haruka would love stuff like Cinderella’s Royal Table or the Be Our Guest restaurant. Look, Michi, there’s french stuff! It’s fancy just like you like! Michiru and their daughters ABSOLUTELY deserve to be treated like princesses.
But if she were there with Mina (which should absolutely happen) they’d definitely just hit the quick and (relatively but not really) cheap counter service places, quick burgers and sodas so they can get back to fun sooner.
And this isn’t part of the question, but I feel it’s important to think about how Haruka reacts when one of her kids is chosen to dance in the parade. How many pictures does she take? (As many as her camera can hold.) Does she cry? (Of course not! Okay maybe a little but her baby is just SO HAPPY dancing with the white rabbit look Michiru has there ever been anything cuter?)
