I’m an odd one in that I really latched onto Sirius/James and just never got to shipping Sirius with anyone else, but I like the idea of Remus/Sirius.

i like to imagine that after the war ends & everything gets cleaned up, the three of them get a flat together while they recuperate & try to figure out where to go from there. and they all have a tough time of it at first, but eventually they create someplace all of them can call home.

Fic: The Worst Yule Ball Ever, Hogwarts AU Haruka x Michiru, pretty G-rated, ~3200 words
Sorry/not sorry for this ridiculousness, which you should definitely not take too seriously, and which is taking the Hogwarts AU we’ve been talking about so much lately around these parts to its logical expansion.
In which both Michiru and Haruka want to go to the Yule Ball with the other, but, since it’s Michiru and Haruka, things don’t go as planned. Guest starring cameos and lots of friendship moments from many of the other senshi. (Also, for the sake of this, we’re going to pretend that the Yule Ball is a more common occurrence and that the Gryffindor-Ravenclaw Quidditch match gets held around December.)
House key, which might be nominally important: Gryffindor Haruka, Rei, and Mamoru, Slytherin Michiru and Minako, Hufflepuff Usagi and Makoto, Ravenclaw Ami.
“…So the sea presses on, even though the lion may never be aware of the sea. But every day, the sea wakes and dreams that maybe this could be the day that…”
Rei has long since stopped transcribing this monologue, instead setting her quill down to stare at Michiru, mouth slightly agape.
“Or perhaps,” Michiru finishes, “I’m only seeing fog. Maybe you should write that, Rei… Just lots of mist and fog.”

“Are you sure that’s a real spell?” said the girl. “Well, it’s not very good, is it? I’ve tried a few simple spells just for practice and it’s all worked for me. Nobody in my family’s magic at all, it was ever such a surprise when I got my letter, but I was ever so pleased, of course, I mean, it’s the very best school of witchcraft there is, I’ve heard—I’ve learned all our course books by heart, of course, I just hope it will be enough—I’m Hermione Granger, by the way, who are you?”
having grown up with the HP series, i have said on multiple occasions that i am hermione granger. it’s no coincidence that we’ve never been in the same room, and i too am a magical bossy know-it-all with big hair who’s smart in school.

Lavender Brown: professor, prophet, veteran
The first few years after the war were the hardest for everyone really, but especially for Lavender. Adjusting to peace after years of uneasiness, and finding a way to mourn loved ones lost in the war was hard enough for anyone, never mind an 18 year old girl who’s suddenly forced to deal with all the pain and confusion of becoming a werewolf in the aftermath of a vicious attack by Fenrir Greyback during the Battle of Hogwarts. For a while, it feels like the girl who was once the most bubbly person around has nothing in particular to be positive about anymore.
But time passes, wounds fade to scars, and life moves on, in spite of everything. After a while, Lavender picks up on one big thing: preparation. She’s always been fascinated by divination, but finally realizing the importance of being able to know what the future holds helps her get a grip on her transformations, allowing her some happiness and control over her life once again. Her cheerful disposition returns, but with a little more thoughtfulness thrown in than she’d been known to have as a kid.
So when she gets a letter from Hogwarts informing her of a vacant position for a divinations professor, Lavender jumps at the chance. Sure she needs a job, but it’s more than that. After having seen the atrocities of war and violent hate firsthand, she knows just how important it is to teach the next generation to be ready for whatever the future holds, and to create a brighter future for themselves if they don’t like what they see.
It was hard to decide who goes where, I think the hardest people to place were Hotaru and Mamoru. I’ve been mulling their placement over all week, and I finally found the perfect scenes to use for everyone. 🙂
