We went with another butch/femme couple and there were times we were
DYING LAUGHING that other people didn’t seem to get it? Like when she
makes her little speech and the end we were all elbowing each other like
#trubutch

like Holtzmann’s character is so similar to butches I have known, and to how I write Tracer, that I was literally struck by it. Not just in visuals, but in persona.

OH MAN I CAN ONLY IMAGINE THAT WAS A BLAST. And on the second point, I definitely see it. What really struck me was her sense of humor, like, it’s similar to mine and feels just as much tied into the whole “I’m already outside what I ‘should’ be so I might as well go on and have FUN with it.” (Okay I’m probably projecting but my point is it’s so EASY to see that)

I FELT SO MANY CALLOUTS TO LESBIANS IN HER CHARACTER

I MAY HAVE SOME EMOTIONS ABOUT HOW I FEEL HER CHARACTER IS A RARE ONE THAT REALLY CAPTURES ASPECTS OF LESBIANISM THAT AREN‘T DIRECTLY TIED TO LOVING WOMEN

Like the film does not explicitly say that she likes women/show her being with a woman but she’s such a great example of how like, no a lot of times we’re not just like straight people besides for who we love and it’s SO GREAT

And I feel Jill on this I loathe that people make it so dramatic. There’s zero reason to, just correct yourself and MOVE ON.

I totally go off the rails in these AU situations and have haruka as having had a little teenagebf because she was so desperate for affection and love that whatever it doesn’t matter.

 I MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET AWAY WITH THAT except sam the hogwarts student is just regular sam with a

house tie and the store head wants me to go ALL OUT (there is talk that I’d be able to expense a costume, but I don’t want to do that because WHAT THE HELL IF PEOPLE CAN’T HAVE HOURS I CAN’T HAVE A COSTUME)

I thought about this a lot during my down time at work (today was 50% do nothing but greet customers day) and I didn’t come up with anything so casual that didn’t sound too much like I didn’t like her

THANKS ❤ ❤ I think maybe I really should, I’m ready to move on if we’re going to be just friends (I hate saying just friends, I am HAPPY to be her friend, but YOU KNOW)

ANY ADVICE? My main misgivings are worrying it might be too soon and a second thing I’m putting under a cut to hopefully not be read by anyone who knows me in real life

she’s actually a coworker (not in any departments I work in, but same store), and I’ve talked around that because another coworker follows me, and it feels weird to be hopeful about a crush to someone who knows her (although at this point there is zero chance they don’t know exactly who she is, there’s no way I posted about someone ELSE who got back from Europe that day so this doesn’t need to be under a cut BUT IT IS ANYWAY just in case) (hey there if you happen to read this by accident or whatever, you’re really cool I hope none of these posts have weirded you out)

but anyway sometimes I feel skeevy because we met at work and hitting on people at work is gross so idk if maybe I should actually drop it?

(it’s not against the rules to date coworkers, just people in your department (I think) or anyone you have authority over. we’ve had couples in the store before) (the issue is 100% a moral one because I don’t want her to be uncomfortable at work or anything.) (The other thing is she’s looking for a new job so maybe I should wait? but that would feel weird too, like pouncing the moment an obstacle is gone)

(ALSO. if any of you have been around and happen to remember random ass posts from September, she is in fact that coworker I had a crush on who’s first line to me was like “so I see you back there in nook all the time.” I deleted that post somewhere along the way but I have the emails from replies and i’ve really wanted to mention that in case anyone remembered)
