docholligay replied to your post: AHAHA AHAHA FUCK ME IS THIS OPENING WI…

I think the rocksar Haruka thing is so stupid/goofy. I can’t take it, I just laugh through her attempted ~~sexy~~ vid ahahah. I need to rewatch this, but I have a lot of feelings about Michiru.

The ~~sexy~~ vid is the most ridiculous thing. Which on the one hand is exactly what Haruka would do as a rockstar, but on the other is EXACTLY WHY SHE IS NOT A ROCKSTAR.

I  a l m o s t couldn’t take Michiru angsting in front of it seriously, but Sayaka is already killing it. I’ll probably return to that bit later once I see where they go with it.

You know, getting spoiled for this (before we even met, it was NOT this post, no worries and besides you can’t really call spoilers on a 20 year old anime) was part of the reason I stopped watching Utena, but every time I see it I think about trying

AHAHA I’m really glad you clarified, I saw the first part of this in my notifications and was like OH NO.

But I understand that. I was spoiled for this too when I was going to watch it, and it messed with my enjoyment to a certain extent. (It took me almost a year to get through the first six episodes? I was like this is cool but ehhhhhh.)

docholligay replied to your post: docholligay replied to your post: Angs…

I mean she basically stole Michiru’s right to say goodbye.

True. I think there’s a streak of if-I-die-they’ll-hate-me-and-that’ll-make-it-hurt-less in there, looking back I probably should have done at least part of this through Haruka’s POV to add that BUT AH WELL.

It’s a completely selfish thing that Haruka’s masquerading as being for Michiru’s sake.

docholligay replied to your post: @sailor-harmony I will give a full rep…

I don’t love twilight, but I hope if I ever write a famous series, I am as cool as Meyer about fanfiction

YEAH EXACTLY. I understand not wanting to engage with it on the same level she did (esp. for ongoing series, I follow an author on here who doesn’t want to see fanfic incase an idea sticks, which is fair, I think), but I’ve never understood authors who are against fanfic. Both because how is it not THE COOLEST THING EVER that your work inspires someone else, and also because most written work takes things from other written works, so it’s all just a snobbery of the degree.

oh God when I started reading this I thought you’re killing the poor kid with some gruesome disease and I was like “GOD no”… and then the band-aid thing, oh Jesus

Ahahaha killing the kid would absolutely fuck me up, I’m not sure I could go that far (yet).

WHOA WHOA WHIOA WHOA NOT PREPARED NOT PREPARED AT ALL

I have nothing to say for myself.

Himeka said with finality, as though if Haruka had only operated on herself with a wrench, she’d be here. —ahahaha THIS IS FINE

That’s the line where I was like, fuck, I’m not supposed to feel this much while writing, I’M GLAD IT GOT TO YOU TOO.

docholligay replied to your post: Angstober Day 3- “It hurts”

Also, this things that I’ve made myself upset writing often end up being my best (or the ones people refuse to read ahaha) SO IT’S A GOOD BENCHMARK

I’ve seen the fics you said upset you, THEY ARE INDEED THE VERY WORST/BEST.

I"M SO TEMPTED TO WRITE SOMETHING OFF THIS

I’m incredibly flattered, be my guest. I’d love to see how much more it could hurt.
