This made me laugh SO HARD but I also bought it, so…
me @ myself: don’t u get your hopes up ok
also me: *gets my hopes up*

So for my AU for the Prompt Party, I painted a small scene of Michiru and Haruka in the Pokemon world. I was picturing Michiru as a talented, world class trainer specializing in Water and Dragon types, among them a highly prized rare shiny Milotic (serpent like critter in the pool). Michiru declines the occasional invitation to join the top battlers of the Elite Four, preferring instead to remain in town with Haruka and be the leader of a Gym located right next door to Haruka’s Pokemon daycare. Haruka loves all Pokemon, among them a little Pikachu mini-me buddy with gelled hair and a denim vest. Whenever Michiru has a challenger, Haruka insists on battling them first with all her might (and lots of flair). She might not win often, but it definitely messes with their expectations for when they get to fight Michiru!
MICHIRU AND HARUKA POKEMON I DON’T EVEN KNOW POKEMON BUT YES. (To that end, thanks for explaining what the fuck a Milotic was)
Also, oh my God, Haruka with a Lil Butch Pikachu in matching vest and gelled hair, oh my god kill me yes.
YES!!!! I THINK ABOUT THAT SOMETIMES BECAUSE PIKACHU IS ALWAYS CUTE BUT BUTCH PIKACHU WITH DORKY TRAINER HARUKA IS LITERALLY THE CUTEST THING IN THE WORLD
I’M GONNA FIND THAT POST AND REBLOG IT NOW
ALRIGHT Today has turned into a free day, I think I’m going to write and also GO TO TARGET, which is very exciting because with hours cuts I haven’t been in well over a month (It’s the best place to get a lot of stuff cheap, but without an unlimited metro card it was better to just wait)
“That’s not smart, that’s just a thing I do. My brain isn’t even involved.”
I see Haruka coming to value so much about herself, but intelligence is one thing I can’t see her ever recognizing. She’s got fucking catalogue knowledge of things she likes, not to mention hands-on/mechanical intelligence, but she can’t see it. Intelligence was always framed a certain way. She’s very much not that type of smart, so she can’t fathom being smart at all.
