I am getting super ahead of myself, I haven’t accepted the job yet (I can’t until tomorrow morning, and I’m going to do so as early as I can), BUT I’M OUT OF MY MIND EXCITED FOR EVERYTHING AND ALSO TERRIFIED.

We’ve found one really good listing for apartments (and several okay ones) and I’m just DREAMING about this apartment:

IT;S TECHNICALLY A STUDIO SO IT’S BEAUTIFULLY CHEAP BUT IT HAS A SEPARATED BEDROOM AREA (I’d want to buy screens to section it off even more than what I’m assuming is a retractable wall, but still).

We’d be paying less than two thirds of what we pay to stay with my mother-in-law, which frees up a lot of money for a car/insurance/gas. I’m thinking of looking into buying a pickup for sheer practicality, then we could use it to move. (We don’t have much furniture, so we don’t need a big moving van AND the pickup would be good for getting furniture pieces).

I’m like, stressed out of my mind and also  trying to ignore the looming fact of how many people I’m leaving behind but It’s such an exciting future, AND I’VE GOT LESS THAN A MONTH TO GET DETAILS IRONED OUT AHAHAHAHA. It’s very likely we’ll get a lease for the first and I start work on the second and AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

If you ever wonder if your computer skills are worthy of being on a resume, please know that an interviewer asked me if I knew how to save files, use an internet browser, and turn a computer on or off. The bar is much lower than you think.
