F I C

THE FIRST VOTE HAS BEEN CAST. THE HOTEL SHALL BE MY WRITING RETREAT. IT IS A GOOD WRITING RETREAT BECAUSE THERE IS 24 HOUR COMPLIMENTARY COFFEE.

I have a WIP that I will definitely finish and get up (though that might happen this week actually), and I’d love to work on continuing Unhappy Outers. If there’s other requests, y’all can send them in. Want angst? Fluff? Kid fic? Reinako? Let me know!

Okay so! I am always paranoid about travel, so I’m going up to Rochester a few days before my job starts in case of weather delays. This means that I’ll be chilling alone in a hotel for a few days with nothing to do besides going to a car dealership on the 1st and probably finally going to see TLJ.

SO. If you all would enjoy anything the night of the 30th through January 1st, let me know! Liveblogs, prompts, asks, whatever!

2017 marked the 20th anniversary of the original airing of Revolutionary Girl Utena. exactly 20 years ago today, the series ended with the final episode “Someday, Together, We’ll Shine"

Utena is widely considered one of the best, more influential, most interesting anime series of all time- it’s a little embarrassing to say, but in my opinion it’s one of the most incredible pieces of fiction of all time. it’s definitely important to me, at least. so i wanted to do something for today.

i like to believe, twenty years later, they are still together.

;_; I’m tearing up in front of my computer rn, god. thanks for this, latia

My sparklee is the illustrious @sittingoverheredreaming! I combined two prompts: “Haruka and Michiru and their first Christmas with a child” and “Haruka and Michiru get snowed in somewhere” as well as your love “Michiru being cute with kids.” SO I HOPE YOU LIKE IT. 6,125 words

“Miss
Kaioh, the entire airport is grounded. I assure you your plane will
be one of the first to depart once safety has been established.”
He was firm, but Michiru noted the anxiety in this eyes. He was
used to dealing with rich. Rich was nothing. Billionaire heiresses,
however, still didn’t visit his counter every single day, and her
French was the kind of perfect he never expected outside of the
country.

“This
is Zurich. I can’t imagine this is the first time snow has
magically appeared on the runway, left by frost fairies.” There was
no anger her in her voice, only judgment, and somehow that was all
the more terrifying.

“Ma’am,
it’s an emergency level blizzard.”

Haruka
had no idea what the French patter meant, but she knew enough of
Michiru to recognize the look in her eyes, the one that said, ‘I
could have your entire family killed and no one would ever question
it.’

The closest thing i really have to a “Christmas” fic. I wrote this…2 years ago? last year? I can’t remember, for the Sparkle Exchange.

HI EVERYONE I LOVE THIS FIC ALMOST AS MUCH AS I LOVE MY WIFE AND YOU SHOULD READ IT

it’s rich people!

LMAO THIS IS TRUE.

My mother-in-law’s boyfriend is selling his mom’s car but he said it was “too old for us” at 17 years old  (which, granted, we are looking for something a little newer) and I told him my car back home is 24 years old and he just had no response.

Meanwhile all my friends are like I KNOW SOMEONE SELLING A CAR and it’s mostly junkers, or else they’re telling me to go on craigslist and just make sure it has carfax.

People’s attitudes about cars and safety are so funny to me, my in-laws are all up in arms about us needing a good car for the snow and demanding we get four wheel drive and like, meanwhile as a teen I was allowed to get the first shitty car offered to me, one windshield wiper didn’t really work and my parents had no problem letting me drive a few hours through late night snow storms when I had a reason, they had the philosophy that being a good, safe driver made up for most car stuff
