• Why they are the best
  SHE WANTS TO BE SERIOUS BUT IS KIND OF RIDICULOUS. She’s a nerd and knows it but she wants to be like, a serious scholarly nerd, but she’s like, a silly hipster who loves poetry. ALSO this is sort of getting into serious headcanon territory, but of the starlights, I think she’s the one who loved Kinmoku the hardest. Like all of them loved their home, and felt its loss acutely and are severely traumatized by it, but I always got the impression that loved it so deeply, the loss is something she’ll never recover from even if the planet fully recovered. Part of it is with her being “Maker,” I feel like she has a connection to all the life on her planet. AND A LOT OF HER RIDICULOUS POETIC SCHTICK IS SHE HAS THESE FEELINGS AND NO WAY TO EXPRESS THEM 
• Why they are the worst
  she suffers p bad from Starlight Asshole syndrome
• a canon fact (that shouldn’t be)
  SHE’S NOT A TOTAL ASSHOLE. I wish there was more structure to her jerk moments, because I see her lashing out in pain but the anime mostly just had her be mean most of the time
• a non-canon fact (that should be)
  I MEAN I GOT PRETTY DEEP IN MY HEADCANON ALREADY. But also, I see her connecting with Mako way more than she’s shown to.
• a piece of advice I would give them
  let yourself connect to people on earth, they can’t replace your loss but it’ll be good for you anyway
