My Dad did the same thing with me once, which is weird because I’m not a lesbian. We’ve got to work together to get the older generation to comprehend the gender spectrum one step at a time!

That is weird, wow. 
My mom have talked a lot about it in the abstract, like I’ve discussed non-binary identities with her and she seems to understand a bit, I think it’s just when it comes to specifically me she gets pretty confused (which, to be fair, I did lead her and everyone else to believe I was a straight girl for most of my life).

But they’ll all come around sooner or later 🙂
