On a less negative note, the Shitennou flashback reminded me so much of Narnia. 
I mean you can draw really easy parallels.
Jadeite the knight of patience and harmony –> Edmund the Just
Nephrite the knight of intelligence and comfort –> Susan the Gentle
Zoicite the knight of purification and healing –> Lucy the Valiant
Kunzite the knight of purity and affection –> Peter the Magnificent

And their titles make about as much sense with their personalities as the Narnia ones do! Clearly they were bestowed by Aslan.
