I mean, let’s make a list of people that Mamoru Chiba has shown a romantic or sexual attraction to in ANY version of Sailor Moon, brainwashed episodes disregarded:

- (I mean we can’t even count the cow vest, he was brainwashed when he wore that)
- that one dentist anime episode he showed attraction to the evil dental assistant for exactly 2.5 seconds and then literally spent the rest of the episode outside trying to come up with how to apologize to Usagi

Hell, it’s helped me come around a bit to the awkward Rei and Mamoru dating times in the anime because Mamoru is just SO NOT INTO IT, he has NO IDEA WHAT IS HAPPENING.
So obviously by the time Crystal Tokyo hits, demisexual Mamoru and pansexual polyamorous Usagi have worked out a deal that is quite beneficial to them both.
